The PTSA is excited to host the Tropical Spring Fling family event on Friday, May 31st, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Join us for an evening filled with fun, including a choir performance by Nguyen's class at 6:30 PM in the commons. Mr. Berg will be DJing in the transformed glow-in-the-dark, under the sea-themed gym. Enjoy fun games, including 9-square in the air, carnival games with prizes, cornhole, Jenga, and photobooths equipped with photo-to-phone features. We will be offering a diverse range of food trucks and merch table with candy, soda, and tropical-themed items to purchase. This event is also about making a difference - we are excited for our charity event benefiting the Carnation and Issaquah Food Bank.

Annual PLMS 6th Grade Picnic - Wednesday, June 12th from 10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
The 6th Grade teachers, with lots of help from the 6th grade families, traditionally host an annual end of the year picnic at Pine Lake Park.
On Wednesday, June 12th our students will be walking together to Pine Lake Park. The day includes activities at the park with their 8th grade Compass leaders, time to socialize with 6th grade friends and teachers, a few semi-organized games, and eating a pizza lunch together (to be provided). We are looking for parent chaperones to walk to and from the park and help supervise an area throughout the time there. If your time is limited, we would also appreciate some help serving our students lunch from 11:30 a.m. – 1:20 p.m. Or you could simply drop off some of the picnic extras like desserts, fruits or vegetables in the morning.
Please use this Sign-Up Genius to volunteer as a full-day chaperone, a lunch server or to donate food (washed and prepared fruit or veggies, cookies, and cupcakes).
Please note that all in-person volunteers must be approved by the ISD (link below).

Due to limited seating in the PLMS gymnasium, each 8th grade student may invite two guests to this event. Promotion is an important ceremony for students and the program will include student speakers, performances, and distribution of Promotion certificates to students.
